General Studio Information & Booking

Where is the studio located?

We’re based in Woodstock, Cape Town, with convenient access and parking right outside.

What are your studio operating hours?

We’re open Monday to Friday from 8.30am–5.00pm, and Saturdays by appointment only.

How do I book the studio?

Bookings can be made via our website, email, or phone.

Can I reschedule or cancel a booking?

Yes. Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the shoot. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee.

Is there a minimum booking time?

Yes, our minimum booking is 1 hour per session unless otherwise arranged.

Is equipment included in the studio hire?

Yes, the studio is rented with specific equipment included. Additional items like props or specialty gear may incur a surcharge.

Do you provide in-house photographers or stylists?

Yes, we offer a full in-house team including photographers, stylists, assistants, and retouchers on request.

Model Bay

The Model Bay includes the  Profoto StyleShoots LIVE – with  full-body backdrops, constant lighting rigs and camera driven with Pro-Studio software.

Can I bring my own photographer/stylist?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to use your own crew or request our in-house team.

Do you offer hair and makeup stations?

Yes, we have a dedicated hair & makeup station with mirrors and natural light.

Is there a private changing area for models?

Product Bay

What is the ‘Eclipse’ Product Bay designed for?

It’s a compact light-controlled environment perfect for product photography, small flat lays, rotating products 360 degrees for multiple stills and video content.

What equipment is available in the Eclipse Bay?

It includes motorised turntable, diffused lighting, robotic camera mount and driven with Pro-Studio software.

Can I shoot lifestyle content in the Product Bay?

Yes, though it’s optimised for product work, you can adapt it for compact lifestyle scenes.

Is it suitable to shoot reflective or transparent products?

Yes, to a degree, however it is always advisable to check with us prior to booking.

Flat Lay Station

Do you have a dedicated Flat Lay setup?

Yes, our Flat Lay (Profoto StyleShoots Horizontal) station includes a permanent top-down camera mounting system with controlled lighting for consistent top-down shots.

Can I shoot clothing, food, and small props here?

Yes, the space is versatile and ideal for apparel, accessories, small-scale styled shoots, and tabletop product layouts.

Are styling props and surfaces provided?

We offer a selection of backgrounds, textures, and basic props. You’re welcome to bring your own as well.

Ghost Mannequin

What is a Ghost Mannequin setup?

It’s a special photography technique used to make garments appear worn, without showing the model or mannequin — perfect for e-commerce.

Do you supply ghost mannequins?

Yes, we have male and female mannequins with removable body parts for easy compositing in post-production.

Is editing included for ghost mannequin shots?

Editing services are available on request. We can shoot and deliver RAW or retouched imagery as per your needs.

What garment types work best with ghost mannequins?
